Alaska has impressed me as much as anywhere in the world I've travelled. With its incredible expanses of mountain ranges, glaciers, lakes and plains, it is perhaps the most beautiful place I have ever been to. Alaska is so big, you can fit 3 1/2 states of Texas into it with room to spare! And with all that space there is barely over 1 person per square mile average! There is plenty to do in Alaska but plan to travel by air as much of the state is undeveloped, even by roadways.
