Marrakesh, Morocco is a great city for shopping and culture, but be prepared to be swarmed by would-be sellers if you enter any shopping areas. You can get literally lost in them since most are a maze of similar-looking passages and alleys and are quite large in size. You have to hold onto your belongings at all times but from what I understand most crime is petty theft.
