Port Royal, Jamaica is an old pirate town from the 1600's. Famous bucaneers such as Henry Morgan and Captain Kidd were among its inhabitants. The city was virtually destroyed by an earthquake in 1622 in which a large part of the city sunk into the sea taking nearly a quarter of the city's 8,000 inhabitant's lives. This was a facinating place to visit.
