Just a few kilometers north of Dublin, Malahide is a smallish sea-side
town with lots of charm. Here you can walk along the shore, visit
the shops or eat at any of the numerous great restaurants. By itself,
the smell of all the food is enough to make you stop here! If staying
in the Dublin area, I would recommend this town instead of the big
city hustle of Dublin itself. And while here, don't miss Malahide
Castle. It's a refreshing change from the usual ruined castles as
it has been preserved throughout its history and is still complete
inside and out including furniture.
