"Filling a Top-Fill Gearbox"

We've all been there. Filling a top-fill gearbox without making a mess can be a challenge, especially in MGBs. Standard small funnels are too short, long funnels are too tall, and paper funnels are a disaster waiting to happen.

The solution is simple and takes us back a few years to a time when tools were made of metal, not plastic. What you need is a flex funnel. These handy items are found in most small auto parts stores.

The end fits nicely into an M.G. gearbox filling port, and the tube will hold itself in any position you set it to. No leaks, no spills and most importantly no crawling under the dash to fill your gearbox!

Here is a photo of the funnel being used in a 1967 MGB.
