I didn’t own this car for very long, perhaps a year. So I don’t really have many stories about owning it. But the fellow I sold it to told me one soon after. He was driving the car to a repair shop to have a bit of work done before he did the restoration himself. He pulled to the side of the road to park and noticed smoke coming from the rear, right-hand wheel. Most car owners would immediately suspect a stuck, burning brake. An MG owner, however, suspects something much worse. And it was. The fuel pump had leaked and somehow started a fire! Fortunately there was no damage to the car and he replaced the lines soon after.
