Archive 1: 2000-2004

December 20, 2004 - I've added some holiday-themed pages containing photos, artwork and songs (yes you heard right) to the MG section.

November 22, 2004 - We did it again. Added another toy to the garage today. Only this time we'll need to add onto the garage to fit it in. Our fourth and final car is finally here, a 1967 MGB GT. It's UK-Spec which for one means it's right-hand drive, but there are many other interesting aspects about it.

November 19, 2004 - The Gardening pages are finally coming back online one by one. The final section, Photography, will be next. The explosive MG section now holds over 400 photographs thanks to everyone who has sent images. Keep them coming!

November 17, 2004 - Sad news today. Our faithful companion Axel passed away. We'll sure miss him around here as will everyone who was licked by him repeatedly. Axel lived the best life a dog could ask for. He was as happy as anyone you have ever come across and never seemed to have a bad day. We should all learn from his example!

October 27, 2004 - Pages are coming back online one after another. The Cinematography site is finished and more content has been added to the rapidly-growing MG section. Next to come online should be the Gardening pages. Some pages throughout the site have been split to shorten loading time.

October 17, 2004 - The big day has arrived! The web site is finally back online after many weeks of downtime. Most of the work rewriting and updating the site has been completed. There are still a few sections offline but they will be back online as soon as I can finish them. If you find any bugs in the site, or even a typo, please e-mail me so I can fix them. What a project this has become. I hope someone enjoys this stuff!

September 10, 2004 - I've lost a battle with the devil of domain names, register dot com. They want five times the going rate to keep a domain name and refuse to let me transfer it to another registrar. Out of principle I have decided to not pay their ridiculous prices and have changed the name of our web site to LBC Nuts dot com. What the heck is that supposed to mean, you ask? LBC is short for "Little British Car" which is a term of endearment for many classic British sports cars. Someday I may win back my domain name but for now, boycott register dot com!

April 19, 2004 - This update is only here due to a certain person's pestering for one. Still working on the new code, just finished the MG Pages tonight. It's the busy season at work so this project will likely continue for a while. When finished, the site will have lots of updates throughout and a minor facelift. Don't look for the new pages yet since everything I'm working on will be uploaded at once when it's all done. Overall I'm about halfway done.

February 7, 2004 - I've started re-writing the code for entire web site. The new code will make it much easier to maintain and update the site. When (if ever) the update is complete, you will notice the links change to an easier format. For the techies out there, I'm changing the site from html to php. There are nearly 125 pages on this site so this is going to take a while.....

January 24, 2004 - New items on the MG Pages.

January 18, 2004 - I've moved the web site to a new server so loading times should be faster.

December 7, 2003 - I've finally started adding British-themed desktop backgrounds to the MG section. In other news, there has been a development in the Gnome Invasion!

November 28, 2003 - An experience last night in one of the old cars gave me inspiration to write some stories about the situations that I have faced in my years of owning them. I created a new page for it called "MG Tales" which can be found in the MG section.

November 9 , 2003 - After more than two years, the links page is finally updated. The old one was the last page from our original site. It was hideous to look at and an embarassment in web design. That is all. Move along.

August 6, 2003 - There is a new arrival in the garage. We just got a beautiful and rare 1953 MG YB! Check out the MG Pages for more info on this interesting car.

July 4, 2003 - There are updates on the Gnome Invasion page. The gnomes have made a move!

April 20, 2003 - The MG Page has been updated with some fun stuff.

April 16, 2003 - After decades of waiting (seems that way) Linda's Garden Pages have finally been updated. New photos are being inserted into the gallery as we speak, and a brand new section has been added! The gardens are blooming early this year with the warm temperatures.

February 26, 2003 - There is a new toy on it's way to the garage. We just bought a car we've both wanted for a long time. It's a 1958 MGA Roadster! When the car arrives we have plenty of work to do to make it our own.

January 17, 2003 - The new year is upon us and I feel the need for a facelift on the web site. Better navigation is certainly in order as well as some visual changes. By the time I upload this text I hope to have the "new and improved" site ready to upload with it.

December 30, 2002 - The Aquarium Page (NLA) has been updated a bit to include The Ubertank and the latest inhabitants of both aquariums. I'm debating on whether to update the holiday pages or abandon them altogether. As promised, I'll also get that wedding page up but remember I only promised to get the page online, not to do it quickly!

August 15, 2002 - I've just finished updating the MG Page. There are pictures and information on my cars, and a new section on my wedding car project!

August 4, 2002 - A photo gallery of Steve's favorite shots is finally up and linked from the main page. It will be updated regularily so check back often!

July 22, 2002 - I've been working hard on the "Steve's Travels" section. Lots of new stuff in there but still a long way from finishing. I've removed a few parts of the site that either bored me or which I knew I'd never complete. Less is more sometimes and this is one of those times. I plan to do a complete overhaul of Linda's Gardening section but that's a ways off since it's such a big project.

July 5, 2002 - What started out as a gag between friends has become a sensation in it's own way. The Uberfish Saga has finally been added to our web site!

June 24, 2002 - I finally got some Easter pictures up. (NLA)

May 4, 2002 - The big day finally arrived. We got married! A new page with pictures will eventually be created but it may take a while to sort through all of them. Bear with us!

April 2 , 2002 - The garden is in full swing! Pictures will be posted soon (we've all heard that one before!). The aquarium page (NLA) has been expanded with new inhabitants to the tank. I've finally done some work on my travels page as well.

February 8, 2002 - Ok, so I haven't been keeping up on things. Better late than never, right? We're creating a new section for the aquarium which should be completed this weekend. There will be information on the project as well as photos and information on it's inhabitants. I also plan to restructure and update the gardening pages sometime in the near future. It's become terribly out of date and I never did like the looks of it. Stay tuned...

July 3, 2001 - Summer again and time for another site update. I'm still struggling to get everything caught up on the site but making progress. There's a new toy in Steve's hobbies (moved). Here's a hint... Two wheels and a big engine. You figure out the rest.

April 14, 2001 - Another round of updates to the web site and still half of it remains unfinished. Perfect time to start yet another page, right? I've begun working on a section about all the places I have been fortunate enough to travel to. Click here to go there!

February 24, 2001 - Wellington the cat has taken up a new game... hide and seek! He plays the hider and the seeker with Linda and he loves it! We have no idea how he learned to play it so well.

February 20, 2001 - I suddenly realized that despite the hundreds of photos on this web site I had no reference to my hobby of photography nor was there any mention of the type of camera(s) used to create it. With that in mind I've created a new Digital Photography page. It's almost done. Take a look!

February 4, 2001 - Nothing new to report. Another disappointing winter here in Los Angeles. We just had our first good snowfall of the winter and now it's 85 degrees outside. Maybe next year. In other news, I've updated the links page.

December 3, 2000 - We're building a new "home for the holidays" page (NLA)! You can see pictures of our house and decorations for each holiday throughout the year.

November 30, 2000 - We had our 1,000th new visitor today! While this is a relativly small occasion in the grand scheme of things I thought it deserved to be noted that our little web site has caught the attention of so many people. We hope everyone finds the site enjoyable and leaves with something of interest learned. As always please feel free to email us with comments or suggestions on the site, or just to say hi!

November 20, 2000 - Yes folks, I'm acually working on the web site again. There's a new clip in the online video section (NLA). Check it out, it's pretty funny! Fall pictures of the garden should be posted soon (now that it's almost Winter!). It's been near freezing here in L.A. at night so I need to get the pictures before all the plants wilt!

October 27, 2000 - I've abandoned the new web site. Linda likes the current site which means I'm out-voted 2 to 1! Instead, I'm creating a new camera operating page.

October 5, 2000 - I've begun rebuilding the web site from the ground up. I'm restructuring everything to make it easier for me to keep things updated and giving it a whole new look.

August 3, 2000 - It's HOT! The heat wave here in Los Angeles has us sweating day and night. I'm fearful of our electric bill this month with how much we run the air conditioner! I'm restructuring my hobbies page (NLA). I've added my newest sport, fencing (NLA) to the list though the page is barely started. The computer page (NLA) is also new and under construction.

July 31, 2000 - I'm almost done creating a completely new zoo section! Each animal has his or her own page complete with theme music. :) I'm also changing many of the images in this site to display as thumbnails, so now the pages will load much faster. Just click any thumbnail in the site to see a larger version. Some images may pop up in a new window. Click anywhere to close the picture window when you're done viewing it.

July 26, 2000 - I've been slackin' on the web site. The virtual garden tour (NLA) is still under construction and the links page needs updating. I'm also getting ready to finally put up the Summer garden pictures. Bear with me!

July 6, 2000 - We've added a new page to the site with various videos (NLA) you can watch or download. I'm planning on adding a section to the zoo as well where you can hear sound samples of Myles and his famous sound effects.

July 4, 2000 - I've begun construction on a virtual garden tour. Be sure to come back and see it. You will be able to visit each part of the garden to see pictures and get information on all the plants and flowers Linda has planted! Myles has started clucking like a chicken. We have no idea where he picked that one up!

June 26, 2000 - The web site is growing! I really need to put a back button on each page.

June 24, 2000 - I've added a links page and am building on it daily. You should find some good stuff there.

June 18, 2000 - Linda has finally finished her project in the front yard (again). This time she swears it's done for good! We'll see....
