XRX 150H started out life as an ordinary 1969 MGC GT, painted white amd later black. Eventually, with over 100,000 miles on the clock, the car made its way to Doug Smith of MG Motorsport who began a nut and bolt restoration to GTS specification.

The engine was rebuilt and uprated to offer double the previous amount of power. The transmission was replaced with a close ratio gearbox with uprated LH competition overdrive unit.

On Noverber 26, 2000, XRX rolled out of the MG Motorsport workshop as a fully restored and uprated car.
