1965 MGB Roadster - Early Restoration Work

This was the start of the exterior restoration work. The original fender was damaged in a way that it would never be perfectly straight, so I bought an aftermarket one. Big mistake. It never fit quite right and my body guy spent a couple hours cutting and welding it so it would bolt onto the car correctly.
The restoration at this point was merely cosmetic. You can see the weathered condition of the mechanicals.	Repainted for the first time in it's life, the car looked great... on the outside! Within 3 years the paint would peel and chip, allowing rust to set in once again.
